Cleaner Port Operations with Advanced Emission Controls

At JSW Infrastructure, air emissions are managed through a strong focus on prevention at source, supported by modern technology, mechanisation and continuous monitoring. Across our ports, dust suppression systems such as water sprinklers, wind barriers, covered storage sheds, enclosed conveyor belts and green belts help minimise the dispersion of particulate matter into the environment. Equipment and vehicle efficiency is also enhanced to reduce fuel consumption and emission intensity. Investments in ozone-friendly refrigerants, sweeping machines, road wetting systems and tarpaulin-covered transport further strengthen on-ground air quality management.
In parallel, infrastructure upgrades including covered sheds, motorised gangway systems and on-site maintenance facilities reduce material handling losses, energy use and transport-related emissions. Through these integrated measures, air quality protection is embedded into daily port operations, supporting regulatory compliance and safer working conditions.
Our Recent Initiatives
.
Covered Storage Systems
Covered Storage Systems

Covered sheds, enclosed conveyors and tarpaulin-covered trucks prevent fugitive dust during cargo handling and storage.

Dust Suppression Controls
Dust Suppression Controls

Automated sprinklers, road wetting and sweeping machines reduce airborne particulates across yards, roads and cargo zones.

Clean Equipment Upgrades
Clean Equipment Upgrades

Ozone-friendly ACs, efficient machinery and mechanised gangways lower fuel use and operational air emissions.

Emissions-Smart Maintenance
