Leading Sustainable Port Growth Towards Net Neutrality

Dr Monica leads the Sustainability function at JSW Infrastructure. She is responsible for sustainability data analysis and reporting, assurance management, and driving various sustainability initiatives across all JSW Infrastructure facilities. She has extensive expertise spanning more than 22 years in the environmental sector, with proven skills in preparing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) reports and securing Environmental Clearances (EC) for large infrastructure projects, including ports, sea links, water transport systems, coastal roads, and industrial developments.

She holds a Master’s in Zoology (Marine Sciences) and a PhD from Mumbai University. She has also completed a Diploma in Business Management from the Welingkar Institute, Mumbai. Outside of her professional role, she enjoys listening to music, travelling, and reading.

Shubham Vartak holds a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mumbai University and has nearly two years of experience in the sustainability domain. He supports key ESG functions, including data consolidation, GHG emissions assessment, and compliance with mandatory sustainability reporting requirements.

His role also involves contributing to assurance activities, supporting the implementation of global ESG frameworks, and strengthening digital processes to enhance sustainability performance. Shubham has a keen interest in learning and is an avid reader, qualities that enhance his capability in preparing and reviewing sustainability reports aligned with global best practices. Outside of his professional work, his interests include photography.
